King's Sunday Live

JOIN US FOR KING’S SUNDAY LIVE

It is such a joy to be able to gather and worship together! We currently have two Sunday morning meetings at our Town Centre Site at 9:30am and 11:30am, and, there is no need to book. Just come to whichever meeting works best for you, find your seat and enjoy being together to worship God!

If you’re new, we understand that it can feel a bit daunting coming for the first time, but don’t worry – we have a team who are there to help you, and we would love to meet you!  Please visit the Welcome Area after each meeting.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

WILL WE BE SOCIALLY DISTANCED?

  • We do not allocate seats, so everyone can choose where they want to sit. There will be plenty of seats out and still larger-than-normal gaps between the rows, so you will be able to have the space you feel you need… just put your belongings on the seat either side of you if you wish to keep them empty. Equally you are free to sit with anyone you want (as long as they agree!)
  • We do ask that everyone is mindful of others and respects their space.

DO WE HAVE TO WEAR MASKS?

  • As you may be aware, Government guidance has changed effective 10 December, and there is now a Government requirement for face coverings to be worn in places of worship, except for those who are exempt.
  • If you are exempt, rest assured that you will not face any challenge or questions for not wearing a face covering.
  • For anyone who is concerned, we just want to reassure you of the safety of our venue. The auditorium is very large, very high and has an excellent ventilation system that is constantly replacing air in the room with fresh air from outside – it’s as close as you can get to being outside without actually being outside – and a lot warmer!

ARE WE ALLOWED TO SING?

  • Yes! This is a restriction that has now been removed and given the ventilation, the size and the height of the auditorium, we do not believe singing poses any additional risk.

WHAT ABOUT TEST AND TRACE?

  • Nobody is required to check in for NHS Test & Trace. However, for those who wish to do so, there will be a venue QR code displayed in the foyer (or sign-in sheet for those who don’t have the app).

IS THERE CHILDREN’S AND YOUTH WORK?

Our teams have been working hard to provide in-person children’s work, and there is no need to book. We are not quite up to full provision yet, so please read below to see what’s on offer:

  • Creche (1-3 years 3 months) currently meets for the 9:30am ONLY, with a parent+child creche space for the 11:30am.
  • Sparklers (age 3 1/4 – Reception) sparkle for 3 weeks out of 4 in the 9.30am service and every other week in the 11.30am service, with Family Sessions on the other weeks… please go to kchw.co.uk/children to see what is happening this Sunday.
  • School Y 1-6 meet in age-groups for 3 weeks out of 4 in the 9.30am service and every other week in the 11.30am service, and can attend the Family Session on the other weeks… please go to kchw.co.uk/children to see what is happening this Sunday.
  • 11-14s (school years 7-9) runs on the same Sundays as King’s Kids… please go to kchw.co.uk/youth to see what is happening this Sunday.

To increase our Sunday morning kids’ and youth work, we’re rebuilding our emerging generations teams – if you’d like to be involved, please go to kchw.co.uk/serving.

WILL THERE BE TEAS AND COFFEES?

Unfortunately, for now, there will be no refreshments available after the meeting. Having said this, we’d love to begin providing refreshments again soon – and this means rebuilding our hosting team. If you’re able to serve on this team (or any other serving team), please go to kchw.co.uk/serving and let us know!
