Serving Our Town

Helping Homeless people rebuild their lives.

We’re working with Wycombe Homeless Connection (WYHOC) to provide homeless people with a bed and a hot meal throughout the winter months. Each year, WYHOC supports around 400 individuals, giving them somewhere to sleep, and helping them back onto their feet with advice and resettlement services.

Releasing people from poverty.

We’re working with Christians Against Poverty (CAP) to help people in Wycombe to free themselves from a life of debt. Our CAP Debt Centre at King’s is headed up by Ian Bickerstaffe. Through a combination of face-to-face home visits, a Befriending service, debt counselling and budgeting advice, we’re seeing individuals becoming debt-free

Providing food parcels for people in crisis

We’re working with the One Can Trust to ensure the poorest people in Wycombe have enough food to eat. The One Can Foodbank provides free emergency food items like soup, pasta and cereals. The idea is simple – collect food, sort it and distribute it to those who need it most. At our town centre site, we have a donation point and a weekly collection session.

Little Stars

Giving young children a space to play.

Our thriving parent and toddler group has a great reputation across our town as somewhere where mums, dads, grandparents and childminders can enjoy quality time with their babies and preschool children. Little Stars runs every Tuesday and Friday during term at our Town Centre site. Our foyer becomes a makeshift buggy park, and up to 50 children enjoy play, craft, songs and stories together. For little ones it’s an opportunity to play, for parents it’s a chance to breathe.
