Support, resettlement and a winter night shelter for the homeless
Wycombe Homeless Connection believe that every homeless individual in High Wycombe has worth and should have the chance of a fresh start, no matter what their situation.
Providing food parcels for people in crisis
We’re working with the One Can Trust to ensure the poorest people in Wycombe have enough food to eat. The One Can Foodbank provides free emergency food items like soup, pasta and cereals. The idea is simple – collect food, sort it and distribute it to those who need it most. At our town centre site, we have a donation point and a weekly collection session.
Providing a hot meal and conversation to those struggling with addiction.
KING’S TABLE SEEKS TO SHOW GOD’S LOVE TO HIS PEOPLE AND TO MAKE HIM KNOWN IN OUR COMMUNITY.
WE WANT TO SEE PEOPLE SAVED AND WE WANT TO MAKE KING’S CHURCH HIGH WYCOMBE A SAFE PLACE FOR ALL TO COME.
We hope to see those considered to be marginalised loved, valued and served, brought into community, and offered opportunities to exit life controlling addictions. We will work towards this through provision of a weekly Sunday evening meal with a short Christian talk, and subsequent signposting to other agencies skilled in helping people out of addiction.
