OUTREACH MINISTRIES

CAP

Praise/thanksgiving

  • Praise God for the relationships we are building with local secular agencies, meaning we reach the most vulnerable and are also able to demonstrate the love of the local church for the community.
  • Praise Him for the gift of new volunteers to meet with and pray for our clients.

Prayer points

  • Pray for boldness, wisdom and strength as we often come into very difficult family situations and for more volunteers to catch the heart of the work.

CHOSEN

Praise/thanksgiving

  • strengthened connections with the women on Walking Outreach since starting Chosen Men: Prayer and Feasting prayer walking group in March
  • increasing numbers from King’s (men and women) engaged with prayer, donations, serving (such as baking)
  • good rapport and co-operation initiated with the Chief Superintendent from Thames Valley Police in High Wycombe

Prayer points

  • we recruit an anointed outreach worker who will connect with the women during the day when they are not working
  • we would re-establish Drop-In to increase the services we can offer the women, such as hot meals, prayer, health services, showers, advocacy
  • the PROTECTION of the Holy Spirit over everything we do, and over everyone connected with Chosen: our Walking Outreachers would be safe from pimps and controllers, the women would be safe to engage with us, and we would be wise, prayerful, righteous and loving in all we do

KING’S TABLE

Praise/thanksgiving

  • The Holy Spirit has been asking for us to pray for people by name that we haven’t seen for 4-6 months, and they have been coming, sometimes 20 minutes after we prayed!
  • We also prayed to hear of one person not walking in addiction any longer as an encouragement.  Again, that evening the prayer was made we had a guest come who had been alcohol free for two years.  Many people didn’t recognise him. Praise the Lord!

Prayer points

  • As we get ready to move towards a new model that we want to help draw our guests closer to Jesus, please will you pray that the Spirit of God touches lives, opens eyes and sets people free.

LITTLE STARS

Praise/thanksgiving

  • Recently three new volunteers joined our Friday team which is an answer to prayer. We also have seen some amazing answers prayer for one of our attendees who has a number of challenging circumstances recently.

Prayer points

  • Pray for more volunteers!! And for our ladies’ afternoon group, that we would continue to have a good number of people coming and that they would encounter Jesus as we share our lives together and talk about wellbeing issues.

LEARNING ENGLISH

Praise/thanksgiving

  • Thank God for answered prayers for the students – we have had medical scans come back clear, healing of illnesses, peace and resolution to family problems, driving tests passed and English exams passed!
  • Thank God for students who come and for the atmosphere we have where the students can relax and be themselves as well as learn.  Thank God that the students are comfortable enough to share what is on their minds and struggles they have.

Prayer points

  • For openness among the students to hearing about God and for the courage to accept invitations to other things going on in the church.
  • For wisdom and boldness for the team, to know what to share, when and how.
