Hosting Team - Town Centre

From the moment people walk through the doors of our Town Centre Site, we want them to feel welcome. This requires a whole team of warm, friendly people using their gifting, and serving together.

That might be by serving in the Welcome Team where you'll help focus on helping newcomers to have a great experience on a Sunday morning by making them feel welcome: whether it's by helping them with practical things such as finding a seat, or showing them where the kids work is, or by getting to know them a little and talking to them about connecting in.  The Refreshments Team also play an important role in this by providing a nice cuppa to enjoy at the end of the service.

Finally, we also have an Integration Team who are people who have a heart for seeing new people find their place in our church family and they work behind the scenes with new people.

We ask people to serve one in four Sundays (for one service only), and full training and envisioning will be given.

Operations Teams

This team represents a large pool of people who have indicated that they are willing to either be on a rota, or to be asked about their availability, to help practically with a range of church events and courses, and that they are willing to help if available.

Tech Team - Town Centre

To create the best environment for the church to encounter God, we need a team of people on sound, lighting, projection – people who can keep a cool head even when things don’t go to plan.

As soon as we can, we’re aiming to live-stream our meetings, to serve those who can’t come in-person and to reach new people with the love of Jesus. This will require a large team of camera operators, vision mixers and sound engineers.

If you have any experience – or just a passion to be trained – we’d love to hear from you.

Ongoing training and support will be provided.  Many of the roles require a whole Sunday Morning (8/9am - 1pm), though once fully trained Camera Operators are only needed 11am - 1pm, ideally serving every 4 weeks.

Outreach Teams

To reflect the love, wisdom and compassion of Jesus to those in our community, many of whom will be the most marginalised due to their circumstances.

King's Table is a Sunday evening meal that we hope to see those with life controlling addictions to be loved, valued and served and brought into community. Click here for more information about this ministry.

Learning English is a Thursday Daytime group for women who wish to improve their English. The learning will be led in an encouraging environment and will focus on practical, day-to- day language.

Little Stars is our parent and toddler group on Tuesday and Friday mornings that enables the children to have a fun time and to befriend the parents/carers who attend.  Click here for more information about this ministry.

Parenting Courses help parents develop their parenting skills, encourage them in how they parent and build up their confidence to tackle parenting issues they struggle with.  Click here for more information about this ministry.

Christians Against Poverty provides debt relief and support to local families in financial struggles.  Click here for more information about this ministry.

To keep vulnerable people and those working with them safe, a Safer Recruiting process will be followed, which may include the need to apply for a Basic DBS Certificate.

Emerging Generation - Town Centre

Do you love Jesus? Are you passionate to see an emerging generation of young people on fire for God and living life to the full?

To serve in these ministries, a loving heart for kids and young people is a better qualification than great theological knowledge.

And whether you’re alongside the youngest members of our family in our Early Years team, or chatting with teenagers in King’s Youth, you’ll grow in your faith as you step out and see God at work.

We’re asking people to serve one in four Sundays. Taster sessions are available, and training will be given. To keep our young people safe, a Safer Recruiting process will be followed, including the need to apply for an Enhanced DBS Certificate or Update Check.

Worship Team

Each Sunday, we love to glorify God through sung worship, led by our passionate worship team.

This is a team of people with heart and gifting, who lead out of the overflow of worshipping Jesus with their everyday lives.

To join, you’ll need a basic level of skill in your chosen instrument and a heart to see Jesus glorified.  A high level of commitment is required, both on Sunday mornings (8am - 1pm, ideally every 3 weeks) and for regular midweek evening band rehearsals.

Taster sessions will be provided, and some training, coaching and ongoing support may be available.  The first step is to attend two open sessions to hear about the vision, values and structure of the team, and then have an opportunity to play and sing together with members of the team.
