PRAYING HIS HEART
We’ll spend 2-3 minutes in silence, asking the Lord to stir our hearts for what is stirring his. At the end I’ll pray and when I finish, please be encouraged to one by one pray how you feel led to pray. Be emboldened to share pictures, visions, words from scripture or worship.
The framework for this morning’s session and praying for Bridge Court is the Biblical foundation found in John’s Gospel
John 1: 43-46
43 The next day Jesus decided to leave for Galilee. Finding Philip, he said to him, “Follow me.”
44 Philip, like Andrew and Peter, was from the town of Bethsaida. 45 Philip found Nathanael and told him, “We have found the one Moses wrote about in the Law, and about whom the prophets also wrote—Jesus of Nazareth, the son of Joseph.”
46 “Nazareth! Can anything good come from there?” Nathanael asked.
“Come and see,” said Philip.
John 2: 11
11 What Jesus did here in Cana of Galilee was the first of the signs through which he revealed his glory; and his disciples believed in him.
What we see is the Biblical mandate of, ‘follow him’, ‘come and see’, ‘see his glory for yourself and believe in him’.
Filling of the Holy Spirit
Please pray for us:
- To be filled with the Holy Spirit
- To have our eyes opened to where he is moving
- To be energised to move in areas where we see the Holy Spirit working
Sundays
Please pray for:
- The Holy Spirit to move powerfully in the meetings, for prophetic words, answers to prayer and healings
- For the response to prayer this Sunday to be enormous
- For the Holy Spirit to fill our speaker, Ruth Wainman, with his love, power and authority.
- A continued hunger among us to be filled with and equipped by the Holy Spirit
- Those serving in the teams: Welcome team, refreshments team, King’s Kids team, King’s Youth team, tech team, facilities team. That they would be serving out of an overflow of the heart.
Bridge Court
Please give thanks for:
– Favour with the Bridge court management and an open door to serving there
– great response from residents to coming to our activities,
– many of the residents have been witnessed to, prayed for and have come to Little Stars and Church
Please pray for:
– Parents and children to remember the date of the Hero Party we are hosting this Friday in the West End Hall and come along
– An atmosphere of peace, joy and fun at the party
– Jesus centred conversations with the parents and children
– A significant answer to prayer for one of those attending which gets the attention of all at Bridge Court (John 4 and the woman at the well)
Here am I, send me
Two things only. WHERE AND WHO? Let us pray in the supreme knowledge that praying like this is like wielding a powerful weapon that has, does and will continue change people’s lives.
PSALM 116: 2
Because he turned his ear to me, I will call on him as long as I live.
- WHERE: Pray the Holy Spirit into an area of life you want to see energised or completely changed by his presence. Your workplace, your GP surgery, your knitting group, chess club, Bridge group, home, judo club! Wherever it may be, pray for his presence to not only fill, but change that place.
- WHO: Is the Lord putting on your heart that doesn’t know him. Pray for them by first name. Pray for that catalyst of their heart that they would want to come and see, follow and see Jesus’ glory.
