Weekly Prayer Plan

Wednesday 3 December

That day when evening came, he said to his disciples, “Let us go over to the other side.” Leaving the crowd behind, they took him along, just as he was, in the boat. There were also other boats with him. A furious squall came up, and the waves broke over the boat, so that it was nearly swamped. Jesus was in the stern, sleeping on a cushion. The disciples woke him and said to him, “Teacher, don’t you care if we drown?” He got up, rebuked the wind and said to the waves, “Quiet! Be still!” Then the wind died down and it was completely calm. He said to his disciples, “Why are you so afraid? Do you still have no faith?” 41 They were terrified and asked each other, “Who is this? Even the wind and the waves obey him!”    (Mark 4:35-41)

Consider the following:

  • What storms are you facing right now? What does it mean to you to know that Jesus is in the boat with you?
  • Thank Jesus for his presence, his authority and his power

Let’s pray for our next two Sundays

  • For the tangible, life-changing presence of God in our meetings this Sunday, and at Carols at King’s on 14 Dec
  • For Ron, who has stepped in to preach this Sunday, and for all those serving, including Rich W and the band leading worship, Rich & Nicola leading the meetings, and all our serving teams
  • For Carols at King’s on 14 December – for God’s protection over our amazing carols team
  • That we would see many visitors come to carols, and that they would encounter the risen Jesus. For salvation!

Let’s pray for Suzanne Harbour

  • Pray in tongues, if you have that gift
  • Now thank Jesus for the authority that he has over all sickness, all pain, all disease (the disciples in Mark 4: “Who is this?! Even the wind and waves obey him!”)
  • Pray for Suzanne’s total miraculous healing, and that Suzanne, John and their family would experience the supernatural presence and peace and strength of God

Let’s pray for healing miracles across the church

  • Prophetic word given to us in March this year: “I see a stepping up in the Holy Spirit – going to see a lot more signs and wonders – the manifest presence of Jesus, and people will be drawn in… I see in your hearts a desire for that, and a desire to just follow what God is saying and doing. I see times of being overtaken in worship, with people suddenly standing and proclaiming, “I can see! I can walk!’ On one hand, you will say, “of course! Jesus is here!” – but it’s also going to blow people away – a new bar will be set in healing and signs and wonders.”
  • Lift up to the Lord anyone you know who needs healing today
  • Pray that we would see this ‘new bar’ set in healing and signs and wonders

Let’s pray together for revival

  • In John’s gospel, John refers to healing miracles as ‘signs’ through which Jesus revealed his glory (John 2:11)
  • Let’s pray that as a result of healing miracles, many would believe in him – that we would see revival in the church
