The Hope Initiative
We believe that in the midst of difficult days, there is still hope.
We’re determined to make sure no one in our church family stands alone – and we want to support the most vulnerable people in our community, working with other local churches through a new organisation called yourneighbour.org
This is a moment for us all to be generous with what we have – our time, our resources, our expertise and our prayers.
You may be in need of hope, or you may be in a position to bring hope to others. Whatever your situation, hope begins here.
IF YOU NEED HOPE
You may be feeling isolated or fearful.
Perhaps you need help getting basic supplies, or you just need someone to talk to or to pray for you.
IF YOU CAN OFFER HOPE
There are lots of ways we can work together to bring hope in these difficult times.
Perhaps you can give practical help, time, money or expertise. Or perhaps you can support people outside the church who are referred to us through yourneighbour.org
With any money given to our new Hope Fund, we’ll be able to offer support to the most vulnerable families.
Can you offer to help those in need? For those feeling isolated, just a phone call, a chat and a prayer can provide a moment of hope. Or maybe you have the time to help people with shopping and other practical needs.
If you have expertise in the benefits system, debt advice, the practical and emotional aspects of coping with serious illness or bereavement, IT support to help people to stay connected, or any other expertise that may be useful in this time, we would love to hear from you.
