Pastoral support

We were designed to do life in community. At King’s, we want to be a church family that takes care of one another and encourages each other through all seasons of life.

REQUEST SUPPORT

Small groups

Our small groups are our first line of pastoral support – small communities where people know and look out for one another. Some of our groups are set up to support people through particular circumstances, others simply provide a place to check in, pray and do life together.

Pastoral team

As well as the organic community that happens as you get to know others, there are times when more help is needed. Our pastoral team is made up of staff members and a trained team of volunteers who can offer support whatever you’re going through. If you’d like to chat with someone, contact us.

Freedom Encounters

God loves to set people free. ‘Freedom Encounter’ is our prayer ministry that gives people space to hear from God about any past hurts that are holding you back, so you can walk more fully in the freedom God has for you.

Supporting Marriages

Marriages work best when they are invested in and valued. We take time to help couples considering getting married to prepare well. And we run enrichment events that enable married couples to celebrate what’s great and work on areas of weakness.

Most marriages go through challenging times, and so if you need help, we’d be happy to chat. We can offer confidential support from an experienced married couple within the church or recommend a professional Christian counselling service.

Safeguarding

We want King’s to be a safe place for everyone to encounter Jesus. Safeguarding is overseen by our safeguarding team which is part of the staff team. Team leaders overseeing vulnerable groups (children, youth, adults with additional needs) have undergone safeguarding training and DBS checks. See our safeguarding policy below.

If you have concerns or questions about safeguarding, email us.
