Reflection:
PSALM 63:1-8
1 You, God, are my God,
earnestly I seek you;
I thirst for you,
my whole being longs for you,
in a dry and parched land
where there is no water.
2 I have seen you in the sanctuary
and beheld your power and your glory.
3 Because your love is better than life,
my lips will glorify you.
4 I will praise you as long as I live,
and in your name I will lift up my hands.
5 I will be fully satisfied as with the richest of foods;
with singing lips my mouth will praise you.
6 On my bed I remember you;
I think of you through the watches of the night.
7 Because you are my help,
I sing in the shadow of your wings.
8 I cling to you;
your right hand upholds me.
Response to Devotional Reading:
What is your soul truly thirsting for, and where have you been trying to satisfy that thirst apart from God?
Can you honestly say that God’s love is better than life? What would change in your desires, worship and
choices if you lived as though it were?
What would it look like for you to seek God earnestly and cling to Him in the particular season you are
walking through?
Drawing Near; Receiving His Heart; Seeking Flourishing
Pray for a deeper hunger for God and a growing intimacy with Him, where His presence becomes
our greatest desire and His love our deepest satisfaction.
Pray that, as we draw near to God, we would receive His heart and grow in love for the people
and places He has entrusted to us.
Pray that we would seek the flourishing of King’s Church and High Wycombe, giving ourselves
faithfully to what God desires to do in and through His church for the good of our town, our nation
and the nations.
Prayer for Sunday Service
Pray for John as he prepares and delivers the God’s Word. We are staring a new preaching
series called Living Water.
Pray for Seyi & Abi as he leads the service
Pray for Rich Wainman as he leads worship
Pray for everyone serving: that we would serve from overflow, not emptiness, with fresh
anointing, joy, and grace for every role.
Pray for our gatherings as a whole: that we would experience the manifest presence of God.
Salvation, healing, deliverance, and a deep awareness of God’s closeness.
Praying for the Flourishing of King’s Church High Wycombe
Pray for wisdom, provision and the Lord’s leading as King’s prepares to launch a third meeting
in February 2027; that it would create room for more people to encounter Jesus, find
belonging and grow as disciples.
Pray for King’s finances: for faithful kingdom generosity, wise stewardship and sufficient
provision for everything God is calling us to do.
Pray for wisdom and clarity concerning the growth and expansion of King’s, including whether
to secure a new building or redesign the current one; that the right provision and opportunities
would come at the right time.
Pray that God would establish the work of the hands of every member of our church family,
causing them to flourish and bear fruit that blesses others and advances His purposes.
