REFLECTION
John 6:16-21
When evening came, his disciples went down to the lake, where they got into a boat and set off across the lake for Capernaum. By now it was dark, and Jesus had not yet joined them. A strong wind was blowing and the waters grew rough. When they had rowed about three or four miles, they saw Jesus approaching the boat, walking on the water; and they were frightened. But he said to them, “It is I; don’t be afraid.” Then they were willing to take him into the boat, and immediately the boat reached the shore where they were heading.
Today’s Prayer Points:
1) The fostering and adoption group
Pray:
· For Ian, Lucy and Jen who are leading this group – for wisdom to know how to lead the group forwards.
· For good connections with other churches in Wycombe and those organisations working with families who are fostering and adopting.
· For a fruitful working relationship with Home for Good/Safer Families.
· That the Lord would draw those families in Wycombe who need this support, and that he would use this group to provide genuine connection and friendship for them.
· For the Lord’s blessing and provision for all families who are fostering or adopting in the town.
2) The Sozo team
Pray:
· For the team being trained – for confidence and anointing from the Lord.
· For more men to join the team.
· For godly wisdom as we implement Sozo ministry here at King’s.
· That the Lord would set people wonderfully free through this ministry.
· That, as a church, we would be people who pursue the freedom that God has for us, even when it’s uncomfortable.
3) Sunday morning
Pray for:
· Steve Lamb and the band leading worship, and Ruth & Rich Wainman leading the meeting
· John speaking, continuing the ‘Life to the Full’ series, and focusing on holiness.
· That Lord would encounter each person in a personal way.
· All our Sunday serving teams – that they would enjoy community and God’s goodness as they serve.
· God’s protection over us every time we meet.
· Newcomers’ lunch on Sunday afternoon – for good connections & conversations.
4) Our church family
John 6: 21 ‘Then they were willing to take him into the boat, and immediately the boat reached the shore where they were heading.’
What situations are you aware of in our church family where breakthrough is needed? Bring these situations before the Lord, inviting him in, and trusting that he will move.
